Advanced Lower Face Botox Course

This course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the practical tools and knowledge to safely perform Botox injections with reproducible results. Students will gain a foundational knowledge of the science behind Botulinum Toxin, as well as off label indications for use with the associated lower face anatomy, and proper patient safety considerations.

The course will cover both the necessary knowledge and the practical skills required for performing confident and accurate injections, including proper patient evaluation, the art of consultation, patient assessment and goals, normal and variant lower face anatomy, injection site selection, injection technique, as well as patient safety and adverse event management.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Describe the science and mechanism of action of Botulinum Toxin.
  2. Identify the non-FDA approved indications and contraindications or safety concerns for
    Botox use.
  3. Identify lower face muscle anatomy, and other key clinical anatomic structures.
  4. Evaluate patients for Botox treatment, including assessing their medical history,
    identifying areas to be treated, and evaluating their expectations.
  5. Select appropriate injection sites based on patient assessment and treatment goals.
  6. Perform Botox injections using aseptic and effective injection techniques.
  7. Recognize and manage complications and adverse effects of Botox injections.

Assessment will be based on the completion of the hands-on training, as well as a written test at the end of the course. The written test will cover the material presented in the course and assess the student’s knowledge of the subject matter.

Students must be licensed healthcare professionals, such as registered nurses, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants, with a minimum of two years of clinical experience.
Additionally, students must complete a pre-course reading assignment before the start of the training.

Meet the Trainer

Dr Ben Botox trainer at Skinney Medspa

Dr Ben Tracy

Dr. Ben started Monroe MedSpa in 2017 while still completing his residency in PM & R at the University of Rochester Medical Center. In 2019 he opened his second practice in Buffalo, New York. He has since expanded to 4 locations that include Syracuse and Orchard Park, New York.

In 2022 Monroe Medspa joined Empower Aesthetics, a Shore Capital Partners Private Equity platform, as the founding platform medspa and and Dr. Ben serves as its Chief Medical Officer. His injection philosophy is based on the concept of utilizing an anatomical ageing approach to systematic facial rejuvenation by combining dermal fillers, neurotoxins, PDO threads, and technology. 

He has a passion for learning and teaching and is an Allergan AMI certified Trainer, PDO Max Thread Trainer, nationally recognized speaker, trainer, and published author. He holds faculty positions with the Aesthetic Academy and AmSpa.

Dr. Ben is an aesthetic innovator and has created multiple injection techniques including the Fox Tox Eye, Suspended Thread Lift, Fluid Facelift, and Bridging Lip Filler Technique. He holds memberships in America Med Spa Association, and The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and sits of the Allergan Medspa Advisory Board. He and his wife of 20 years are parents to four rambunctious boys and one little princess.
